La Via Claudia Augusta è stata un'antica strada romana, risalente al I secolo d.C.. Congiungeva la Pianura Padana alla Germania, partendo da Altino (un altro ramo partiva da Ostiglia) e terminando dalle parti di Mertingen, in Baviera. Non ci sono evidenze archeologiche sufficienti per determinare l'intero percorso, che invece è ben visibile nella zona attorno a questo cache: la strada è rettilinea e rialzata come doveva presentarsi 2000 anni fa. Mio nonno (classe 1928) sostiene che quando era bambino c'erano ancora delle pietre originali, oggi perduto.
Il cache è magnetico e contiene solo il logbook. Buona caccia!

Via Claudia Augusta was an ancient Roman road, dating back to the 1st century AD. It connected the Po Valley to Germany, starting from Altino (another branch started from Ostiglia) and ending arounf Mertingen, in Bavaria. There isn't enough archaeological evidence to determine the entire route, which is instead clearly visible in the area around this cache: the road is straight and raised as it must have been 2000 years ago. My grandfather (born in 1928) claims that when he was a child there were still some original stones, now lost.
