Geocache Description:

For 79 million years, Weber County was underwater. Shortly after the dinosaur extinction, the Rocky Mountains grew, and Weber Wounty was lifted nearly to the height of 17,000 feet! For millions of years, this area has been sinking and shrinking, eventually being filled by the legendary Lake Bonneville, which once had as much water as Lake Michigan and was 1000 feet deep. After an earthquake caused the lake to drain with catastrophic speed, some of the earliest humans in the area would have started living in caves here in this area of Utah.
