The trail takes you across the fields, through a couple of farm steads, over to the Shaftoe Crags, past the standing stone and back through the fields. It should take about 4 hours. None of the walking is tough. There are stiles and gates between the fields. There were quite a lot of cows in some of the fields when I put the caches out but they took no interest in me even though I had the dogs with me. There is also a section of road where the traffic seems to pass very fast so some care is needed. In wet conditions it is bound to be muddy. The caches are all of different types, I hope you enjoy the trail, it is a walk we return to on a regular basis. There is parking near to this cache in a nearby field which you could use if you wanted to start here.
