Limahuli Garden is my favorite garden on Kauai; the $20 entry charge supports their important conservation work.
The Garden is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:30-4:00. THAT MEANS IT IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY! Please do not ask to go in free or on a Sunday/Monday.
Near road's end/Ke'e Beach. GPS reception is very difficult in the canyon bottom, but don't worry. Take the self-guided tour path in the direction indicated; do not cut trails or follow your GPS until you reach the top and are walking north along a relatively flat trail section. The cache can be found without leaving the trail or damaging any garden features. Please find and re-hide carefully and cover to keep safe and dry (rainfall here is over 100"/yr).
This is a small/micro-cache w/room for small items - look on the right (east side) of the trail, 3' from ground, at the base of a multi-stem "autograph tree" in a moss covered rock crevice.
I've made it very easy since I don't want cachers to pay the entry fee, hike all the way up here, and not find the treasure!
What a view toward the ocean and Makana, the "Bali Hai" of South Pacific!
