Geocache Description:

In the year 900, this location would have been quite a sight. Ancient native americans known to the Shoshone as "The People" or "Fremont Indians" once densely populated this entire area! They built whole villages out of pit houses and cultivated corn, beans, and squash all through irrigation techniques. Archeologists have found coiled pottery, mocassins, "rod and bundle" baskets, and trapezoidal art. The entire civilzation disappeared around 1300 C.E. and nobody knows why.
