This cache is near the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
I go mountain biking past this spot at least once a week. I
thought it would be a nice spot for a cache.
I originally made it a themed cache based around mountain
biking. The original contents of the cache were:
1. 26" x 2" thorn resistant inner tube for schrader valve.
2. Tire levers.
3. Patch kit.
4. Sun glasses.
5. Strap for sun glasses.
6. Bottle of water.
7. Nov. 02' issue of Mountain Bike magazine.
8. Log book, pen, pencil and pencil sharpener.
After the cache got "muggled" I restocked the cache on May 16,
2011 with:
1. Patch kit.
2. Mosquito repellent.
3. Band Aids.
4. Carabiner.
5. Inflating needles.
6. Chapstick.
7. Extra pen and pencil.
8. Log book, pen, pencil and pencil sharpener.
Please hide well the canisters of each leg of this cache so that
hopefully it won't get "muggled" again.
This is a multi-cache with only one offset. The first
coordinates lead you to a film canister. It is well hidden but you
should be able to find it if you are observant. In the film
canister, are the coordinates to a Coleman jug painted black that
contains all of the goodies.
Because you are right up against the mountain, your satellite
reception might not be all that great. I was getting only about 35'
feet of accuracy. I believe however, if you look around in the
general area (say a 40' diameter) of where your GPSr says it is,
you should find it.
Just a word of warning, on occasion a rattlesnake has been
spotted in the hole in the wall and near where the cache is hidden.
Please be cautious!
Happy hunting!
