Pirates of the Yahara: Curse of Lake Wingra (1st of series)
Long gone are the stories of old of the pirates that used to roam these waters. But alas, hear mine words, these were no stories of lore, rather stories of warrning. The pirates of the Yahara were a fearsome bunch, sailing their schooner up and down the Yahara. That's where the name Yahara comes from; you could hear in the distance if you listened carefully the bellow from a ship of "Yar-har-har-a!"
Captain Bartholomew (Bucky) Redbeard was the leader of this vile bunch, and one blisteringly cold November morning the band of pirates were sailing on the small Lake Wingra. No one is quite sure as to why the captain led the crew to this small lake on a day where the edges of the Lake were already freezing over. Normally at this time of year, the crew would already be heading South to plunder treasure before making it back North to the Yahara chain of lakes for the next summer to rule the waters. Many speculate that Captain Bucky was hiding a treasure for his successor who might one day rule these waters after his reign of terror was over. Knowing Captain Bucky, the treasure will not be easy to find, there will be many steps and clues. Captain Bucky wanted to ensure that only a worth successor could gain control over his treasures and authority over the waters of the Yahara. This hunt is not for the faint of heart. The treasure has never been found even though it has been sought by some for years and years. The only surviving clue is a letter from Captain Bucky addressed to an unkown individual, who knows, maybe it was intended for you? It seems to point to a location near where Captain Bucky took his band on that cold November day. Did he take the crew there so he could hide a treasure?...Unlikely, but maybe to hide a clue on the path to the treasure… However, the letter requires knowledge of the Lake so that only a worthy sea-farer may find the eventual treasure (if it even exists!). Are you up for the challenge of finding Captain Bucky's long lost treasure? Well, then make haste and search!

My dearest *****,
Alas I know my control over these wicked waters will eventually come to an end. Yar may inherit my treasure, but ye must also then take up mine burden of watching over and protecting these waters. To ensure that ye are the worthy replacement for my role as Capt'n and guardian over the waters you must seek out the treasure. Only the one who finds my treasure will be worthy of the honor and valor. Be warned, this is not an easy hunt and there will be many clues and steps to find the treasure. Well, if ye thinks yar are worthy, then go and seek. Arrr, I will provide a clue for the first step, but know it will only get more difficult…
Ahoy,
Captain Bucky Redbeard
