Invasion Coast Adventure Lab
On Britains frontline to Europe, Romney Marsh's flat coastline has made it a common target for foreign invasion forces throughout the centuries. From Romans, Saxons and Vikings to the Spanish Armada, Napoleon and Hitler, this stretch of beach has long been prominant whenever the country has been under threat of attack. Over the ages the area has been fortified with defensive structures including, martello towers, redoubts, batteries and pillboxs. Minefields, tank traps, anti-aircraft guns and many other weapons have been used to help defend the nation here, while experimental war techologies have also been tested in this area. Off course the British have used this area to fight back too with attacks and counter offensives into Europe being launched from this coastline. This adventure lab will guide you to some of the most tangible examples of historical artefacts that still remain in the area. Keep your eyes open as you may spot many other points of interest along the way.
The five lab locations can be visited in any order and each stage will provide part of the co-ordinates for this bonus once you answer the question correctly. Parking is available at each lab location except 'Sound Mirrors' which you will need to walk to. For that stage I recommend approaching from Prior Road.
