Geocache Description:

The beautiful Northland Arboretum in Brainerd/Baxter is home to this cache. Find the right trails to take you there. Efficient cachers will hike a little over a mile total. Wrong trails can lead to some serious bushwhacking.

The Northland Arboretum is located just north of Hwy 210/371 at the border of Brainerd/Baxter. NW 7th St. behind Westgate Mall.

There are two places to park. The Baxter trailhead just north of Movies 10 is the start of the Paul Bunyan multiuse paved trail. This lot is adjacent to the south end of the Arb. The parking is free but the hike a little longer (not a bad thing considering the nice trails).

The Arboretum has its own parking lot with a (usually untended) gatehouse. Sign in and drop off a few bucks to use this official entrance.

The cache is a clear plastic jar.

Beware poison ivy off the trails! The area near the cache is pretty much ivy free, however.

If you try this cache in the summer, add some stars to the difficulty because the bugs can be bad.
