Congrats drrnrchr on the FTF
The Mount Isa Golf Club Inc. is situated alongside the Silverlena Creek, a tributary of the Leichhardt River. The 18 hole golf course offers the only grassed greens in North West Queensland with many players enjoying going off the beaten track to enjoy our majestic surrounds.
This cache is not at these coordinates; you don't need to enter the golf course to play this round of geogolf. The coordinates should get you there.
This is a par 3 which should net you a par at the very least. Follow through with your shot and you will be fine.
As is often the case in outback caches, you may during your round of golf encounter spinifex grass or local animals including snakes. Care has been taken to ensure that a 2WD vehicle can park near the cache site to ensure you can park away from traffic, especially road trains. It may pay to wear appropriate clothing such as enclosed shoes, a hat and other sun safe clothing. Remember to take a litre of water for each hour you will be out and about. You will need a pair of tweezers to remove logs. Bring your own pen and please replace the cache as found.
