Geocache Description:

This cache is just outside of So. Boardman. The hardest part of getting to the cache is the last 10 feet.

Here lies

Prince Froggers

R.I.P

Watch out! The Ghost of Prince Froggers is believed to haunt this virtual!

If you see his ghost please report your sighting!

This virtual cache is a replacement for "A Session by the dam", the first cache I hid.

To log this cache, you need to take a picture of the ruins of the old power dam and post it as with your log.

There two pieces of concrete by them selves and in the side of the hill at ground zero, The original cache was hidden between them.

Acording to the Boardman Township master plan, this was the second power dam for the Town of South Boardman.  The first was built on the Wellman dam on the lower pond (the large pond you can see from the corner of Boardman Rd and US-131) in 1904, and it burnt down in 1906. In 1907, the Blackmon Electric Light Company built the dam at cache location.  In 1914, Charles Sessions bought the dam (who the road is named for), and the dam provided power to South Boardman into the 1920's.  If you want to learn more about Boardman Township, follow the link on this page to the Boardman Township master plan.

I recomend coming in from the the west side of the river, using Turning on to Park Rd, and then on the Sessions Dam Rd from Boardman River rd from the south.  This is the easiest road to take for pretty much any car.  If you take Sessions Dam Rd directly from Boardman River Rd to the west, it passes through the river valley, so the two-track will have more ruts and steeper elevation changes.  A Subaru Outback or better should have no problem with getting the the cache location from ether direction.

No hint is needed as this is a very easy site to get to.

I hope you enjoy the view as much I do from this location.
