This cache has now been archived as part of the conclusion of the UNITE Geotrails research project. We sincerely thank all geocachers who participated in this research and helped us collect valuable data on forest relationships. Special thanks to the reviewers who helped us publish our caches, and to Geonautit ry for all their help and support throughout the project. The research findings are available on the project website (UNITE GEOTRAIL RESEARCH PROJECT) and in the publication "Using a location-based game to collect preference information for urban and rural forest planning". A few selected caches have been maintained as legacy markers of the research. Many thanks to all participants!

Kiitos, että löysit tämän erityisen kätkön Itä-Suomen yliopiston UNITE Geokätkö-tutkimusprojektista! Tämä kätkö säilyy muistona loppuun saatetusta tutkimushankkeestamme, joka keskittyi ihmisten ja metsien välisiin suhteisiin. Vaikka alkuperäinen reittiverkosto on arkistoitu, olemme säilyttäneet tämän tietyn kätkön muistuttamaan arvokkaasta tutkimuksesta, jota täällä suoritettiin vuosina 2024-2025. Projektimme tiedonkeruuvaihe on nyt päättynyt, eikä tämä kätkö enää sisällä aktiivisia kyselytutkimuskysymyksiä. Olemme kuitenkin iloisia voidessamme kertoa, että tästä geokätköverkostosta saadut tutkimustulokset ovat merkittävästi lisänneet ymmärrystämme siitä, miten ihmiset kokevat ja havainnoivat metsäympäristöjä.

Thank you for discovering this special cache from the University of Eastern Finland UNITE Geotrails research project! This cache remains as a legacy marker of our completed research study into human-forest relationships. While the original trail network has been archived, we've maintained this particular cache as a reminder of the valuable research conducted here during 2024-2025. The data collection phase of our project has now concluded, and this cache no longer contains active survey questions. However, we are pleased to share that the research findings from this geocaching network have contributed significantly to our understanding of how people experience and perceive forest environments.
