This is a new type of Reverse Wherigo cache using day1976's open source cartridge.
The cache is not at the listed coordinates and you do not have to visit this location.
It is a play anywhere Wherigo and by running the cartridge from any location, it calculates the bearing to the cache.
First, you will need a compatible Wherigo device - either a smartphone (and download the app) or use a suitable GPS unit with an inbuilt player. Then you will then need to download the following cartridge into the player.
day1976 Reverse Wherigo Player
When starting this wherigo, the first question you are asked is if you want to “Get a code”, or “Find a geocache.” You need to select “Find a geocache”. If at a later stage you want to use this same cartridge to place your own, feel free to.
The cartridge will then ask you to enter two 5-character codes.
The first 5-character code that you need to enter to find this geocache is - kv2cm
The second 5-character code that you need to enter to find this geocache is - lhrrx
The cartridge will then tell you the bearing (in degrees) from your current position to the geocache.
The cartridge gives you accuracy of 1° of bearing, so readings taken further away from the actual cache location will be less accurate. Over a kilometre your reading could be upto around 10-12 metres out, so the closer you get the more precise your given bearing will be!
