Bear with me I love history so I'll share a few tidbits with those of you interested.Rockford Baptist Church was established in 1857. The church was the 3rd building in Rockford to receive electric lights.
The original church building stood for 106 years, but it was time for a change to accommodate a growing church so they started building a new church in 1963 and completed it in 1964 that's the building you see today. We still try to keep pieces of the past alive we have 2 stained glassed windows from the original church that are kept on display inside the church. The rest were purchased by the farmers who used to own the home that houses Herman’s boy (a local coffee house). If you drive by Herman’s boy you can still see the stained glassed windows in the back of the building and on the barn. (The pictures you see)
