This will be my first time hosting a CITO!
Kane County recently hosted over 30 clean up events in its forest preserves in in coordination with It’s Our Fox River Day and National Public Lands Day.
However, there is still a need to clean trash from this section of the Fox River Trail from the listed coordinates in Carpentersville north towards Algonquin. This spans a total of 2.5 miles, however, my plan is to have us trek north until 10:15 or so and then turn around to be back at parking by 11. In other words, we'll get as far as we can in within the scheduled time.
If you cannot be there at the start time or until the end that is OK.
Trash bags, hand sanitizer, hand wipes and drinking water will be provided. I don’t have much in the way of equipment so please bring your own gloves and grabbers/pokers for litter collection. There is a dumpster on site for use.
