Summer in the Chugach is glorious. But dang...if it could only be a few months longer!
I was walking in the park one beautiful spring afternoon, dreaming of endless summer days just around the corner. I scoped out this spot to hide a cache and I snapped this picture...
Then I blinked my eyes and suddenly summer had passed and we were looking ahead to winter again! Here's that same view on the day I finally hid the cache...
This is a mellow walk (or bike or ski) from the trailhead, just around 2 miles one way. Lots of nice views, and accessible year-round. Watch for moose, bears, and out of control fat tire bikers.
