Dear Reader,
There is news I wish to share,
if a minute you've got to spare.
Amid the Rockies, the great mountain range,
Three Sisters stand proud without change.
There's also Mac, our fine Lady,
beautiful sunny, beautiful shady.
Grotto, Rundle, Ha-Ling and many more
keeping watch over the town of Canmore.
Never has this place made people frown,
who wouldn't like it, perhaps a clown?
Mind you, Reader, this is no game,
it can't be preceded by "Canymore" fame.
Hiking, climbing, biking, activities aplenty,
I can think of at least twenty.
There is this, there is that and there is more,
so much you can do in the town of Canmore.
Unless you just sit and eat candy…
Are you a fancy court dandy?
If indoors hang out indeed you must,
worry not, I will be fair and just.
Elevation, a Place to seek,
suitable for climber, swimmer, reader or geek.
Even culture will you find and still more
in the beautiful town of Canmore.
But first a little annoying part,
without it your adventure can't start.
It was not I who invented this rule,
perhaps another big head thought it was cool?
Come visit me, your compass in tow,
"must use GPS"… you know.
Come visit me, for I am your guide,
my Big Head wants to be scrutinised.
Should you meet me when I'm awake,
continue straight, ten feet across the lake.
Should I, however, greet you asleep,
these cryptic directions in mind you must keep.
Ninety six beasts this region inhabit,
BEARing in mind, they aren't called rabbit.
Feet, inches, yards, none of it rhymes,
think about metres two hundred and eighty times.
Let your magic device these numbers crunch,
on the way out, you can stop for lunch.
Do you know what I'm referring to?
I sincerely hope you've got a clue.
Find a pillar of steel, pointy, not at all flat,
it is no tower, nor wizard's hat.
A touchy subject, this beautiful stone,
to attracting birds it may be prone.
The artwork's name is the key,
wanna move forward? Pay Certitude's fee.
certitude fees payable here.
Yours sincerely, Big Head.
Done? In a Place that Elevates now have a peek,
you shall behold that which you seek.
Many a mystery this great place hides,
will you try and make them your finds?
I know the next bit breaks the rhyme,
but hopefully not for a long time.
Mystery at the Museum
Mystery at the Lighthouse
Mystery at the Colosseum
Mystery at the Outhouse
Mystery at the Wall
Do tell me, is climbing your call?
Mystery at the Pool
Do I look like a hot fool?
Mystery at the Granary
Mystery at the Zoo
MYSTERY at the Library
Which will it be, what will you choose?
If MYSTERY is your mastery,
find the one at the Library.
Feeling clueless, spirit low?
Alphabetical order is the way to go.
Are you indeed up to the task?
Staff members you shan't ask.
The riddle only by you must be solved,
library clerks should not be involved.
When a find pops your smiling joint,
surely you can spare a favourite point.
A line or two in your excited log,
with generic crap please do not bog.
Last advice, my dearest Reader.
Before you start, make sure to either
check out the internet link
or read them written in ink.
For there may be no victory chimes
unless you heed the opening times.
Mystery-hunting on Sundays 'n' Holidays
will not produce any victorious yays!
From Ten to Eight on working days,
they'll kick you out at Five on Saturdays.
That is all I shall say,
great mystery fun have you may!
