Tharrapatha is the Kalkatunga (local Aboriginal) language that means the river. The local name for Leichardt River, which runs parallel to the pathway, is also Tharrapatha. The walking trail that had been built since 2011 is a symbol to connect Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in Mount Isa.
This series of traditional caches are easy walk and grabs. It pays to be sun smart in Mount Isa, so please remember to wear a hat, slip, slop, slap and take plenty of drinking water. If walking the geodog the path can get pretty hot for their paws.
The cahe is a film container and marked with a geocache sticker, no pen or pencil is provided, so byo. Muggles frequent this walk so be stealthy. Please replace the cache so it is well hidden.
