Jumping "Jack" Flash Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wallypog: Looks like this 22yo cache has reached the end of it's life. Up until now, this was the only cache that was still active that was placed as part the event Halloween Hoopla #1 (hence the halloween theme), it was also the very first cache placed in Edina, it predates the MnGCA and is part of the GEM legacy... Too bad so many of the old timers from the GEM era are no longer active.

Time to retire this old pumpkin colored Tupperware. I'm sad about it... I was 12yo when I placed it in 2002. I went out caching with my mom (Centris) almost every day back when there were very few caches to be found and King Boreas had less than 100 hides... It seems like a lifetime ago.

Thanks for a fun run.

Geocache Description:

(High Tech) "Trick or Treat"!
Isn't that what geocaching really is?

This is a one gallon, clearly marked, Orange Tupperware cannister filled with the usual dosh. It reminded me of a big pumpkin so I decorated it to look like a Jack-o-Lantern.  However, there is no "theme" to this cache, you can trade anything.

All the cache contents and log are double bagged to help survive the winter - please close all the bags back up securely and re-close the cache tightly.

Note -- it is not necessary to make volunteer trails to this cache.  There are paved walking trails up to within 20 feet of the cache, you will need to use stealth.  Do not disturb the fenced and protected nature study area.

Please re-hide this cache as well as (or better) than you found it to maintain it's secrecy and difficulty level.

"Official" parking for this park is the parking lot off of Olinger Blvd (the Olinger Road intersection), or you can quickly park on the street near the path

Mapquest shows it out of the park, but it is within the Bredesen Park trail system.
