Geocache Description:

Walk into an open grassland with views east to forested ridges. When shade is above, look below.

Use coordinate N 40 48.569 W 124 06.842 to turn east from highway 101. Park at N 40 48.599 W 124 06.671.
This cache is placed in a black plastic container and resides next to marsh lands that have been returned to wetlands. Winter rains fill the diked ponds and hundreds of migratory fowl settle in for a stay. A visit in the spring will reward you with the honking and quacking of geese and ducks feeding on the ample fare. Summer time sees the grasses, tules and cattails waving in the breeze. Come in the fall and bring your berry bucket for the rich harvest along the road.

Travel bug - "Humboldt Birder" is seaching for other wetlands and hot birding spots. Help him on his avian quest.
