Coldingham Circular is a series of 12 caches, consisting of 15ml tubes and small plastic pots. Each cache contains a logbook only, so you will need to BYOP. The small containers have room for small trackables.
The series is on various paths around the southwest of Coldingham, although there is a section which involves walking along a road. This is a relatively quiet country lane with a wide verge. The paths involve steep sections and may be muddy after rain. There are also a couple of rickety stiles to negotiate.
There are a few options for a starting point. We set the series starting at Templehall and it is numbered accordingly, but it is also possible to start from #10, #4, or by following the track up from Coldingham to join the series between #2 and #3. Whilst it is technically possible to start the series at Whitfield, please be aware that, at the time of setting, the bridge over the Ale Water had been badly flood-damaged and I wouldn't recommend crossing it!
The series should take around 1.5 hours to complete.
