Geocache Description:



There is fifty species of trilliums five of them are native to Ontario they are: White Trillium, Red Trillium, Painted Trillium, Drooping Trillium, and Nodding Trillium. The White Trillium is the provincial flower of Ontario. The White Trillium became the provincial flower in 1937. Contrary to popular belief, it is not illegal to pick a White Trillium in Ontario. However, picking the flower can seriously injure the plant and it can take years to recover. Here are some more intersting facts anout trilliums. Ants sptead trillium seeds, on average a trillium has 16 seeds, trilliums are a favouite food to the white-tailed deer and they do have a preference for the White Trillium. Trilliums love light and usually bend toward the sun as it moves across the sky. The blossoms are usually facing the sun.

This cache hidden in a park on Trillium Drive hence the name and some facts about trilliums! This cache is hidden in bewteen the parking lot and the the trail into the woods. Please be steathly as this park gets a lot of visters and please place the geocache back how you found it!
