Geocache Description:

This cache is a micro and does not have a pen/pencil. Tweezers may also be a good idea to retrieve the log from the container :)

This geocache is hidden along part of the old railway line that once ran between Muir of Ord and Fortrose but has long since been disused. It can be accessed either as a short walk when parking at the B9169 to the East of the this section of the railway line or it can be part of a much larger circular route of approximately 4.5 miles starting and finishing in the centre of Muir of Ord.

As this is a micro, there is no pencil and you will need to bring your own. A pair of tweezers might be helpful to remove the log from the cache container. :)

"The Black Isle Railway was originally a branch of the Highland Railway network. It carried passengers from 1894 until 1951 (freight until 1960) and ran from Muir of Ord to Fortrose with intermediary stations at Redcastle, Allangrange, Munlochy and Avoch."*
