Geocache Description:

EDIT: 22/12/24- 5 years ago on Christmas Eve 2019 this bridge was damaged by fire, now just days before Christmas Eve 2024 the bridge has been resotored. GZ was not compromised so the cache is back at its set coordinates, enjoy finding this cache and take a moment to appreciate the restored bridge, go for a drive over it and through the lovley town of Tunbridge.

EDIT : 15/07/2024 - The bridge is getting fixed!!!! Geocache will be out for maintenance while this is happening and return once finished.

EDIT : 5/8/23 - Geocache maintenece is done, the camo has been modified so the past issues should not continue to happen. The cache is back at GZ so do not look at the stop sign there is nothing there. The Blackman River Bridge on the northern side of Tunbridge was built in 1848 by convicts. The bridge is part of the tourist Convict Trail and is believed to be the oldest surviving wooden-decked Bridge in Australia. The bridge which straddles the boundary of the Southern and Northern Midlands municipalities was damaged by fire on Christmas Eve 2019 and unfortunatley is yet to be restored. There are operational Train tracks close by to be aware of. You can park on both sides of the bridge, but cannot drive over the bridge. GZ is best to be accessed from the northern enterance to the town and bridge, there is plenty of parking and little chance of muggles. The Cache is being maintained by a Tunbridge local. BYO pen.
