A lay-by formed by what appears to be a re-alignment of the A702 in times gone by, it's a long lay-by with room for many vehicles. A snack van often trades from the other end of the lay-by during the week too.
This is designed to be a quick cache and dash on the way to/from Edinburgh/Dumfries etc. to break up a journey, stretch legs, etc.
