Geocache Description:

This is a special type of puzzle cache -  it is a BONUS cache to an Adventure Lab. The coordinates are NOT at the posted coordinates and it isn't something that you can solve at home. To obtain the final coordinates for the physical geocache, you need to play the 5 location Adventure lab called Chino Valley History by Angel06. First download the FREE Geocaching Adventure Lab app for your phone and then open the Adventure Lab to search this area (click on the orange dot).

A quick way to describe an Adventure Lab cache is that it is like a combination of a multi, virtual, and wherigo in one, BUT MUCH EASIER!  You follow the app to virtual locations which are displayed on the map and answer a question based on the specific location. Once you get a correct answer, you immediately get credit for one find and you get A CLUE for this puzzle. (You might want to write each one down as you go.)  In this particular puzzle you will be given one (or two) letter(s) with a number. After you go to all 5 locations you will have a set of numbers to fill in for the coordinates of this bonus cache.

The FINAL coordinates lead you to a PHYSICAL geocache to sign a log. The cool thing about this specific Adventure Lab and BONUS is you get to learn some history about this town and get a smiley for it!   I had fun learning about this town and its history; reading articles and visiting the locations.  I hope you too have fun as you travel on this historical tour.

In case you did not notice in the Introduction of the AL it mentions more recent history.  The Chino Valley 9-11 Memorial on Shooting Range Rd, just off Perkinsville Rd at N 34 46.554 W112 24.182.  There is a piece of an I-beam from one of the Twin Towers located here at this memorial.  Farther east on Perkinsville Rd (approximately another 6 miles) is Northern Arizona's first Buddhist Temple, the Gar Dharma Island of Enlightenment.  The entrance is located at N34 47.151 W112 18.077. (currently closed for remodeling).

Information for the AL was obtained from the Prescott Courier, The Daily Courier, The Courier, and a book titled Cowchips and Calluses (1976) written by Ellen Ginn.

Now to locate the cache!  FINAL coordinates are: N34 46.CH  W112 25.INO

Congratulations to Lakelady for the FTF on 11/12/22!
