Geocache Description:

Three roads lead into Grant Park and the Serra Cross. Since several local geocachers are filling their Find by Date Found calendar with multicaches, I thought I would help them by setting one multicache on each road and another at the cross. Please read the descriptions carefully; each will contain information specific to that geocache. None of the geocaches are at the posted coordinates, but you will need to go to the posted coordinates to get information that will get you to the final.

The gates at Grant Park are closed from dusk until 7:00 a.m. There is usually ample parking in the lot.

On Easter Sunday, March 31, 1782, Spanish missionary Father Junipero Serra founded Mission San Buenaventura.  Shortly after the Mission’s founding, a large wooden cross was planted on top of a hill overlooking the Mission church. This highly visible cross served as a road sign for travelers searching for the Mission. Two crosses were lost to the elements. This cross was erected on September 9, 1912.

You will find three plaques at the posted coordinates. The same year is posted on each plaque. Type that year into Certitudes to obtain the coordinates to the final and a hint. You must take a short uphill walk on an unpaved trail to find the pill bottle.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
