Bates Drive was opened in the late sixties.Prior to its opening anyone living in Oyster Bay or Como wanting to access the Princes Hwy had to go via Waratah Rd at Kirrawee.It was named after Keith Bates,a councillor and business man.
There is no parking available at GZ but plenty nearby at Carvers Rd near Oyster Creek.Or you can use the Bates Drive steps from Sandra Drive.
Bates Drive can be busy so care should be taken when crossing.
