Porta Portello, ufficialmente Porta Ognissanti, è la più nota tra le diverse porte di Padova. E’ conosciuta non solo per il suo valore storico-artistico ma soprattutto per essere il centro della vita universitaria padovana: molti dipartimenti si trovano nei dintorni ed è tradizione trovarsi per socializzare nella zona del Portello, specialmente il mercoledì sera.
L’edificio, contemporaneamente porta e presidio militare, è una costruzione in pietra d’Istria in pieno stile rinascimentale veneziano, con frequenti richiami alla classicità. La Porta è stata realizzata nel 1519, nel contesto delle guerre con la Lega di Cambrai, e poco dopo è stata aggiunta una torretta con un orologio.
Dalla cache dovreste avere una bella visuale sul Portello. A caccia terminata vi consiglio di prendere uno spritz e berlo sulle gradinate. Se volete scrivetemi, magari vi raggiungo :) Attenzione ai mugglers, è una zona molto affollata.

Porta Portello, officially Porta Ognissanti, is the best known of the various gates of Padua. It’s known not only for its historical and artistic value but above all for being the center of Paduan university life: many departments are located in the surrounding area and it is traditional to meet to socialize in the Portello area, especially on Wednesday evenings.
The building, simultaneously a door and a military garrison, is a construction in Istrian stone in full Venetian Renaissance style, with frequent references to classicism. The Gate was built in 1519, in the context of the wars with the League of Cambrai, and shortly afterwards a turret with a clock was added.
From the cache you should have a nice view of the Portello. When the hunt is over, I suggest you take a spritz and drink it on the steps. message me if you want, I could join you :) Beware of mugglers, it is a very crowded area.
