CASTELLANO
El mirador del Negratín es, posiblemente, uno de los escenarios más bellos e icónicos de todo lo que nos ofrece el Geoparque. En un entorno natural único, la construcción del embalse podría significar un impacto medioambiental severo por aquel entonces, aunque uno se olvida de todo ello (al menos en el sentido paisajístico) cuando observa la estampa de las aguas turquesas con los badlands reflejados en ellas.
Y eso no es todo, ¡y es que es una de las zonas del Geoparque donde se pueden observar con mayor sencillez y accesibilidad las chimeneas de hadas! ¿Y qué no sabes de qué rábanos estoy hablando?
Bueno, como su nombre indica, se tratan de formaciones rocosas modeladas por la erosión, las cuales normalmente tienen un sombrero en la parte superior que permiten protegerlas y, por ende, permitir que la propia estructura no se desmorone debido a los agentes climáticos externos. Y como una imagen vale más que mil palabras, mejor os dejo una "afotico" de las susodichas:
¿Ves las dos formaciones rocosas en forma de tubo coronadas por una "losa" a la derecha de la imagen? ¡Pues ahí están! Así, desde el propio mirador (tanto del que está en la terraza superior como en el de la inferior), seréis capaces de identificar algunas de éstas. Aunque os adelanto que las de la foto seguro que no, porque están tapadas por las propias cárcavas de este lado del pantano :P Como pista, os dejo un par de waypoints para indicar los puntos de dichas terrazas... y que será más fácil desde la inferior, echando la vista el suroeste ;)
Además, tenéis la posibilidad de echar un almuerzo aprovechando su zona de picnic, con barbacoas, parque infantil e incluso... un pequeño rocódromo :)
DEBIDO A QUE EL ACCESO NO ESTÁ MARCADO POR ALGUNA EXTRAÑA RAZÓN, OS DEJO DOS WAYPOINTS CON CADA UNO DE LOS DOS ACCESOS EN COCHE PARA LLEGAR AL MIRADOR, YA SEA DESDE LAS CUEVAS DEL CAMPO, COMO DESDE LA PRESA.
¡Pero vamos al lío! Que está bien un poco de información, pero aquí hemos venido a hacer un caché, ¿no? Las coordenadas iniciales os envían a la terraza inferior del mirador, donde podréis observar algunas mesas y bancos hechos de listones de madera apoyados sobre bloques de cemento. Tranquilos, los de la zona picnic están más cuidados y son, desde luego, menos endebles que estos :P
Sólo tendréis que contar el número de mesas (A) y el número de bancos (B) que hay en esta terraza inferior, y aplicarlos en la fórmula siguiente.

Por cierto, recomiendo encarecidamente visitar este lugar al ocaso o al alba: el sol pinta todo de rojo, dando esa sensación de estar en un lugar mágico.

The mirador del Negratín (Negratín viewpoint) is possibly one of the most beautiful and iconic spots that Granada Geopark can offer us. In a unique natural environment, the construction of the dam could mean a severe environmental impact at that time... but one forgets all this (at least, thinking strictly about what we can see) when we look at the picture drawn by the turquoise water, in which are reflected this badland environment.
And that's not all! Do you know it is one of the areas in the Geopark where fairy chimneys can be observed easier and accessible for everybody? Gosh, don't you know whatI'm talking about?
Well,don't worry :) As the name suggests, they are rock formations modeled by erosion, which normally have a hat on the top that lets them to be protected and, therefore, to prevent the collapse of the whole structure due to external climatic agents. And since a picture tells a thousand words, it would better if I attach a photo about that fact:
Do you see the two tube-shaped rock formations topped by a "slab"on the right of the picture? Well, so they are! In this way, from the viewpoint itself (it doesn't mind if it's at the upper terrace or at the lower one), you will be able to identify some of them. Although I can tell you in advance... that you won't find the ones in the photo, because they are covered by the gullies of this side of the swamp :P Here's a hint: I added a couple of waypoints to indicate where are exactly these terraces (although once you've been there, I don't think you will need them :P) and... it will be easier to spot them from the lower one, looking southwest ;)
In addition, you have the possibility to have lunch in the picnic area, which is equipped with grills, a playground and even... a small climbing wall :)
SINCE THERE'S NO SIGN SHOWING HOW TO ACCESS TO THE TRAIL TILL THE VIEWPOINT, I ADDED TWO WAYPOINTS JUST IN CASE :)
But let's focus on the job! A bit of info is quite okay, but we are in order to search for a cache, right? The initial coordinates show you the lower terrace of the viewpoint, where you can see some tables and benches made of wooden slats supported by cement blocks. Don't worry, the ones in the picnic area are more well preserved and, of course, less flimsy than these :P
In this way, you only have to count the number of tables (A) and the number of benches (B) in this lower terrace, and apply them into the following formula.

By the way, I strongly recommend you to visit this vantage point at sunset or sunrise: the sun paints everything of red, and makes you feel like being in a magical place.
