This cache is placed in memory of Gary.
Gary was a Dentist in Monroe for 33 years. He was an avid bicyclist riding thousands of miles including TOSRV/Tour of the Scioto River Valley for about 40 years. It was a four day ride, 100 miles a day. We have found over 6000 caches in 49 states and 12 countries. We came up with the name BudWineRS because he liked Bud and I like wine. He would always tell people "I like Bud and she likes to Wine." I would then punch him in the arm and he would laugh. We were married 25 years. When I was in high school I lived on Garver Road.
This is our first Geocache. The reason this geocache is so close to another geocache is due to us being muggles before we knew muggles were a thing. Our family walks the street often. And we noticed a device hanging low one day. We pulled up the small device that was on high test fishing line and found a little pill bottle with a note inside. The note had a single code and nothing else written on it. We thought we had found a dead drop. Several years later, early 2022, we were looking for something to do in West Virginia. Geocaching came up. So we asked ourselves what geocaching was and looked it up. We found our first cache and we remembered that we had found something similar once before. Fast forward to today, BudWiners has a cache on the same street so I contacted them. The cache that we found, turned out to be Gary's. We were the FTF it before we knew it was a thing. The cache was in this exact spot. Found just as you will find it here. With his wife's permission, we honor Gary with this find.
Thank you to BudWiners for officially getting us into hiding caches. May Gary's Legacy live on.

Congrats FTF: Sharonw6FrontierWomn!
Tip: Roll the log into the cap and then screw the two halves together. Once the gasket is reached by both halves, turn 1/4 turn more to ensure a good seal. I have since upgraded the log to a RITR log. HTH.
