STARVO' B&B
"GC Air B&B presents this compact unit. Want to get away from it all? We have all the comforts to make you feel at home (especially if you have just been released from Solitary confinement). Nearby stream is popular for Gold Panning and wake up to the beautiful songs of lyrebirds."
This historical area was once the home of a large population of Miners, it was also a popular camp for travelers and workers passing through the area. In 1937 J D (Jack) Horner moved his Sawmill to the area just West of Starvation Creek, but died shortly afterwards. The Mill was taken over by the Walker Bro's but barely got production started when the Mill was destroyed in the 1939 Bushfires. In the 1950's and 60's, the Forest Commission had a large camp at Starvation Creek. After that it was a popular Camping spot (and unfortunatly dumping ground) until gates were erected about 15 years ago.
The area has the feel of History, Enjoy.
