This cache is in Fulton County Infirmary Cemetery. The cemetery is a small burial ground that was set aside for deceased inmates who had neither family nor means to provide for burial. No grave markers are found at this cemetery and no separate record of burial has been located. The old infirmary or county home ledgers now kept at Detwiler Manor, Wauseon, reveal that eight former inmates of the home are likely buried at this location. It is possible that others are buried there. This cemetery is the final resting place of Mary Hatt. Mary Hatt died on April 9, 1880. Her body was stolen from the grave four days later, on April 13, 1880.
Please take a moment to pay your respects to the individuals buried here, because they are otherwise forgotten.
