Karamatura to Mount Donald McLean
This track will take you from Karamatura Valley near Huia to the top of Mount Donald McLean.
Or the opposite direction. Can be performed either way.
It's a steep walk with many stairs on the way and great views over the Waitākere Ranges, Manukau Harbour, and central Auckland.
Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
Around 12 km in total (out and back)

Going left is 269 steps of stairs to walk up before next junction while taking the path on the right is only 84 steps. But there's Geocaches on the left... Decisions, decisions....
Oh, and from next junction to the summit it's going to be another 1222 steps of stairs to walk up...
