How Greene is My Valley? Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Located in a forest preserve, bushwacking a must. Overhead cover in the summer, may be hidden by fallen leaves in the fall.
Sorry, we didn't realize tat DCFPD did not allow geocaching in their parks. Was informed that negotiations are on-going to permit this, but at this time, they do not. We will re-located the cache and find an even better location. We are glad that the few that found it over the weekend enjoyed the experience, sorry that it didn't work out. Look for the new location in the next few weeks.
During the summer, bring the bug spray, wear long pants to protect yourself against the thorn bushes. Cache is an ammo box containing (at the time of placement) 2 mouse pads, American flag, computer game, foreign money, pocket knife, computer mouse, PC microphone, spring clamp, Simpson's Fallout Boy, spider man water shooter, Travel Bug - Bugbait. Park at: N 41 44.134 / W 88 05.286. It is a beautiful park, we saw red tailed hawks, alot of golden rod, there are horse trails. Listen for the noise of the power plant to help you locate the cache. This is our first cache, any feedback would be appreciated.
