Celebrating a new trail in Bill Yeck Park. Start at any park trailhead or the one listed for a shorter route. Use the reference point to find the new trail junction with the Brown Trail. Not accessible from Clyo Road. Enjoy a walk through the woods across the stream and then above its bank to the cache. A very quiet corner of the park. The name of the cache was inspired by this location and a favorite song of mine.
I often see deer in this section and there was one feeding across the stream as I was out hiding this cache. Follow all CWP District rules: Open Daylight Hours Only, Dogs must be on a leash, Alcohol is prohibited. Also please stay on trails until near the cache.
Bill Yeck Park was originally called Sugar Valley Park. The name was changed in 1996 in honor of William S. Yeck, the Father of the Park District. Trails have been redirected and changed especially in this western section of the park so old trail maps may not be accurate. Enjoy this new hiking trail.
