This cache is located not far from the historical town of Paris. The town was originally incorporated in 1793 under the rule of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 1795, when Maine separated from Massachusetts, the town of Paris became a part of Maine.
Paris was the home of one Vice President of the United States, Hannibal Hamlin who served with President Abraham Lincoln in his first term. Paris has also been home to four Governors of the State of Maine, Albion Parris, Enoch Lincoln, Hannibal Hamlin and Sidney Perham.
This is a gadget cache. It is easy to find but challenging to open. You will need a photo ID similar in size and shape to your driver’s license. In fact, your driver’s license is perfect. Bring that and your brain cells.
