The original Manette Bridge was built in 1930. The timber approaches and roadway were replaced with concrete and steel components in 1949, but the original bridge was eventually declared structurally deficient and functionally obsolete after nearly 80 years. Construction began on a replacement bridge in 2010, and the current standing Manette Bridge opened on November 10, 2011.
