This a Traditional cache near the Maple Falls Trail that will require less than 100-feet of bushwacking. The Maple Falls Trail (aka A Loop) is marked on the attached Bluffwoods Conservation Area Map. This is a dirt trail that crosses the stream several times by both wading and crossing on wooden foot bridges. The round-trip distance to this cache is approximately 1-mile... Unless you select the wrong path in which case you could travel 3 to 4-miles (or more). So select wisely...
The 2.5 Difficulty rating reflects the challenge in selecting the correct path and then finding a regular cache in the woods. The 3 Terrain rating reflects a short hike along, over and through the streambed to the Cache Zone (CZ) and steep up-hill climb to the cache container. This is a seasonal cache in that you should NOT attempt to reach the CZ with snow & ice on the ground or immediately after heavy rain. There is an abundance of thorns, PI and wild critters. There is a public toilet available at the trailhead parking area but NO drinking fountain so BYOBW*. Finally NO night caching.
* BYOBW - Bring Your Own Bottled Water (what did you think I meant...?
