Emily Szeliga and Meg Flannery from Girl Scout Troop 11250 worked with the Pioneer Museum for their Gold Awards. Both girls planned a Girl Scout Day at the Museum and spent over 100 hours completing their projects. Emily restored and preserved some of the museum's clothing. Meg created a Girl Scout exhibit at the museum, and to welcome the exhibit she held an event on October 30, 2010 (day before Juilette Gordon Lowe's (founder of Girl Scouts) 150th birthday).
This is part of a Gold Award Cache Series completed as part of a Gold Award project. A series of geocaches have been placed in the area recognizing historical women and Girl Scout Gold Award projects.
