Kapelle St. Sebastian
Die kleine, den Pestheiligen Sebastian und Rochus geweihte Kapelle liegt auf einer ausgedehnten Lichtung auf dem Weg von Tiers zum Wuhnleger. Im Jahre 1635 wurde auch Südtirol von der gefürchteten Pest heimgesucht. Aus Furcht, der Schwarze Tod könne auch in sein Schloss gelangen, legte der Herr von Völsegg ein Gelübde ab. Falls seine Familie von der Pest verschont bleibe, würde er eine Kapelle zu Ehren des Heiligen Sebastian erbauen.

Cappella di San Sebastiano
La piccola cappella dedicata ai santi della peste Sebastiano e Rocco si trova in un'ampia radura sulla strada da Tires/Tiers a Wuhnleger. Nel 1635 anche il Sudtirolo fu colpito dalla temuta peste. Temendo che la peste nera potesse raggiungere anche il suo castello, il signore di Völsegg fece un voto. Se la sua famiglia fosse stata risparmiata dalla peste, avrebbe costruito una cappella in onore di San Sebastiano.

Chapel of St. Sebastian
The small chapel dedicated to the plague saints Sebastian and Rochus is situated in an extensive clearing on the way from Tiers to Wuhnleger. In 1635, South Tyrol was also struck by the dreaded plague. Fearing that the Black Death could also reach his castle, the Lord of Völsegg made a vow. If his family was spared the plague, he would build a chapel in honour of Saint Sebastian.
