Geocache Description:

EST

1932.–1934. aastal juhiti maa-alustesse kollektoritesse kollektoritesse suurem osa Härjapeast.

Praegu on Härjapea kunagine vooluteekond linnapildis loetav vaid vihjamisi

Nullis aaret ei asu. Tegu on Adventure lab rakenduse seikluse boonus aardega. Aarde leidmiseks tuleb siis esmalt läbida seiklus "Härjapea jõgi". Selleks tegevuseks on vaja nutiseadet ja äppi nimega Adventure lab. Soovituslik järjekord on lisatud punktide nimedesse.

ENG

Härjapea was the river with the most water in medieval Tallinn, which flowed from Lake Ülemiste and lakeside springs through the city and entered the Tallinn Bay from Kaubasadama on the Kadriorg side. In the Middle Ages, the river was full of water and fish, mills were powered by this water as early as the 13th and 14th centuries. The Härjapea river was used by the residents of Liivapealse and Kivisilla suburbs for drinking and other purposes. Later, leather tanning and dyeing workshops and a paper mill were built along the river. However, the industry made itself felt with its environmental effects long ago, buckets of filth were also emptied into the river as part of the sewage system. By the end of the 19th century, the river was polluted and smelled disgusting. By 1862 the quality was so unevenly bad that the river was recognized as a sewage drainage channel. The townspeople began to demand from the authorities the liquidation of Härjapea, and in 1914 the lower course of the river was covered with wooden boards. 1932–1934 the majority of Härjapea was piped into underground collectors.

Currently, Härjapea's former flow path can only be read in hints in the cityscape.
