This is a Letterbox Hybrid Geocache. There is a SunnyPup stamp glued to the lid of the letterbox please do not remove it. Bring your own ink to stamp your letterbox journal with the SunnyPup stamp. Leave your signature and visit date on the Letterbox’s log sheet.
There is a sign at the posted coordinates that contains information you can use to find the location of the Letterbox Cache.
Instructions for Letterboxers:
To find the letterbox, read the information sign that discusses shoreline restoration. This sign is located just before the first bridge south of the lower parking lot.
Use the numbers on the sign to calculate the number of steps that will lead you to a man made installation.
((“Tons of gravel and sand” - “ number of riparian plants added”) x percent of “ reduced shoreline armoring” )+ “feet of marine shoreline restored”.
Divide this final number by ten.
Walk that number of steps in the direction indicated by the second and third letters, combined with the seventh and eighth letters of the first word on the sign. Your feet should not get wet or muddy.
The Letterbox container is camouflaged and stored shin high on the south side of an object at your destination.
Instructions for Geocachers:
If you’re using GPS coordinates, use Z = “number of tons of gravel and sand used to re-nourish the beach”, a large number from the sign, to calculate the final coordinates.
For North coords, subtract (3x (Z/1000)) - 2
For West coords, subtract (Z/100) - 4
