CAR PARK CLEARANCE AT ALNEY ISLAND NATURE RESERVE : PART 2
CITO 2022 - Season 2
Attend a CITO from 1st September through to 30th November to earn the Season 2 Souvenir
Parking: Headline coordinates are for Alney Island Nature Reserve car park. Please note you can only access it leaving Gloucester westbound, heading towards Highnam and Over.
Where: Meet in the car park where we will be clearing bramble encroachment.
What: We will be continuing the bramble clearance work done during last month's CITO event around the perimeter of the Car Park. Then we will move onto clearing scrub along the adjacent cycle way. Please bring work gloves if you have some.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and any necessary tools.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
We ask you to bring your own gloves and where appropriate tools, so if you have shears, loppers and secateurs for the clearance please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the ranger will have a supply and will also bring litter pickers and bags.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work. Cake will be provided at break time!
