log from GCH26Y - This is the last cache for me in this area. Somewhere around 122 mile round trip from home. Had a nice breakfast at Ligurta Station and off we where for a nice ride. Met 3 different BP on the way having a chat with one where a Cholla caught fire. Fire was starting to spread towards the wash and we both worked to get it out. I think he might of gotten a little hot shoe as part of it blazed behind him. Got everything out and had a nice chat. We were about 3 miles to the cache when we left Jason, he said he might head that way but didn't meet up with him again until after the find. Getting a little warm we didn't stay long in the area but Mr. Mouse was busy making a new house out of the sleeping bag that was left behind as Mr. Lizard looked on. Nice and cool inside! Never been asked for my permit all the times I've been out here and guess what? Getting to breakfast we realized we didn't have our permits. Called our daughter at home and got our permit numbers along with the phone numbers to call for the range. On the way out we did met a range ranger asking us for our permits??? Told him of our slight problem and showed him the numbers we had wrote down. The guy was really nice about the whole thing. Great experience today...Took nothing but left a Jeep'en Jumpers Carabineer Pen! Thanks for the Hunt!
