The peaks nursery propagates many of the endemic plants that are restoring the peaks to there former glory. There were no containers on the peaks large enough to allow trackables to be deposited, this is now rectified! We did the walk at short notice so not a very sexy container, but it is large enough for trackables, so I left a trackable that I retrieved whilst on holiday in Cornwall.
When walking in the peaks the path from the nursery is well worth a visit, either as a gentle up hill climb to descend to Cabbage Tree Road or as we did it this time a decline to Black Gate after climbing to Cuckholds and then to Diana's Peak and on to Mt Action. Paths beautifully maintained, Very safe stairways and a very pleasant walk, thanks to St Helena Tourism for maintaining so well.
