Geocache Description:

19 November 2022, 10:00 - 11:00

On October 17, 2022, Geocaching HQ announced the following ... "Sometime after November 1, 2022 and before the end of the year, we will remove Benchmarking from the Geocaching.com website. (An exact date will be provided when it is known.)"

Now this event date is after Nov 1, so benchmarks may no longer be listed, findable or loggable, but I thought an event to say goodbye would be nice. Plus, there are two currently "logable" benchmarks right near the event GC.

If benchmarks are still listed "as normal" on the geocaching site, this event might be your shot to get your first (or possibly last) benchmark find that will remain on your geocaching profile forever more. From GC: "The “NGS Benchmarks” entry and find count on public profiles will be retained to preserve statistics and player accomplishments." Here is a screenshot of mine:

So if you have never found/logged a benchmark (or want to add another one), time is running out.

(Discalimer: since this event is after November 1, time may have already run out).
