This is the bonus cache for the AL Let's get Physical.
The residents of the Sutherland Shire love to get physical. Whether it be indoor or outdoor sports, there are hundreds of sporting venues spread all over The Shire, from the beaches to the bridges and the bush. Many sporting heroes, both amateur and professional, have grown up using the venues, crafting their skills and some have gone onto greater glory.
This AL will take you to some of the venues. There are a variety of sports that cater for the hundreds of sporting venues. These include: athletics, archery, baseball, basketball, boating, cricket, cycling, golf, hockey, horse riding, netball, rugby union, rugby league, skateboarding, soccer, surf life-saving, swimming, tennis, ten pin bowling & water polo.
Many of the venues can be used all year round and some are available for public use outside of competition times. There is free parking available close to all WP venues.
There are parking WPs provided within walking distance of each stage of the AL. These should be accessible depending on the sporting season and availability at the time. Take care when crossing any busy roads if you have the geo-kiddies with you. You can bring the geodog to all WPs as long as they are on a lead. There is no need to enter the grounds to answer the questions at each WP.
The AL is non-sequential but it is recommended to start at Wanda Surf Club and finish at the Bellingara Netball Courts. The bonus is located near WP5.
Enjoy the journey as you get physical around The Shire!
