This cache has been placed near a small footbridge over a stream that is only full of water when the nearby River Bourne runs high. Adjacent to this footbridge (just to the north) are the stone abutments of the original bridge that was in place at this location.
My (archived) cache 'Have you seen it?' used to be a few feet away from this cache. After that, another cache was placed nearby by another Cache Owner, but I noticed this one had also been archived, paving the way for this 'Near the old bridge...' cache.
The path is often muddy and sometimes flooded from the 'Green Lane' byway to the west, so you may prefer walking to this one from the east.
Why not combine it with some of my other caches in the area?
