This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2021 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are still the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.

Bertram House was built for the British and Foreign Bible Society, one of the biggest publishing movements in the world. A building of red terracotta brick with Glen Osmond bluestone base and stucco dressings. The building is Gothic in style, giving it an ecclesiastical appearance that hints at its religious association. The upstairs hall is a bright and attractive looking room, somewhat after the style of church architecture, and may be approached by a large side entrance.
The building became an accountant’s office in the 1960s, and later the home of an antique jewellery store and Stewart’s Stamp Shop, with a tattoo shop in the basement. Currently there is a coffee bar in ground floor, and a queer friendly cocktail club upstairs.
On the Coromandel Lane side of the building are two plaques. You will need all of the numbers from the upper plaque, ABCD EFGH IJKL, to complete the coordinates of the geocache.
